Handling of Personal Information


At GBP K.K. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), we engage in various businesses, including renewable energy, EV, telecommunications, AI & IoT, and e-commerce. In doing so, we recognize our responsibility to ensure the safe management of our customers' personal information. To fulfill this responsibility, we have established the following Privacy Policy. This policy outlines the purposes for which personal information is obtained, and we commit to the appropriate acquisition, use, and provision of such information. Furthermore, this policy will be communicated within the company and made publicly available.

  1. Organizational Activities for Personal Information Protection Management System (PMS)

    1. Regarding the acquisition, use, and provision of personal information, we will clarify the purpose of use at the time of acquisition and use the obtained personal information within the scope of that purpose.

      Furthermore, we will implement appropriate measures to prevent the handling of personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the specified purpose of use (hereinafter referred to as "use for unintended purposes").

    2. All executives and employees of the Company will comply with laws, government guidelines, and other standards related to the handling of personal information.

    3. We will keep personal information accurate and up-to-date and take measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, destruction, falsification, damage, or leakage of personal information.

      Additionally, we will regularly review and correct our practices to prevent incidents related to personal information.

    4. When requests are made for disclosure, correction, or other actions regarding personal information, we will respond promptly within a reasonable period and scope.

      We will also handle complaints and inquiries related to personal information appropriately.

    5. In response to changes in the environment and societal conditions surrounding the Company, we will continuously review and improve our Personal Information Protection Management System (PMS).

    6. Our Privacy Policy will be posted on our website for customers to access at any time.

  2. Acquisition of Personal Information

    At our company, we do not directly obtain sensitive personal information from customers.

    Should it become necessary to handle such information, we will do so only after notifying the customer and obtaining their explicit consent.

    Additionally, we do not engage in business activities that involve providing personal information to third parties or transferring personal information to foreign entities.

  3. Handling of Outsourcing

    When outsourcing the processing of personal information to external parties, we ensure that confidentiality and non-redistribution are contractually mandated, and appropriate management is enforced.

    Any personal information entrusted to us by a client will be strictly managed and used only within the scope of the contract.

  4. Emergency Response

    In the event of an incident involving personal information, we will promptly report it and take swift action to prevent further damage. Additionally, we will analyze the cause of the incident and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
